To The Love of My Life

A post backlog: with school starting and all else, I am finally posting something I wrote almost one month ago. August 7th marked our fourth year of marriage. Unfortunately we have yet to celebrate- yes, we have some catching up to do!

Four Years…

On Christ The Solid Rock We Stand;

All Other Ground Is Sinking Sand!

I could write some gooshy lovey-dovey stuff, however, in the mode I’m in right now, it just doesn’t fit.

Truth and solid ideas fit. Marriage is not meant to be a fairytale and I’m glad because that would be boring!

The bottom line is this: God gave me a man who is infinitely precious to me. I think “infinitely precious” trumps “fairytale” any day!

People always give advise on how they think marriage works best- and I bet they are right….when referring to their own experience. I have no advice other than this:

Hold tight to God. Pray together. Dump your expectations of prince(ss) charming. Focus on your own personal relationship with Christ- FIRST. Love like God loves. Forgive like God forgives. Thank God for blessing you with a partner here on earth.

❤️Greta

  4. A VERY AMEN!

    The word Amen means “Truly”
    אָמֵן ‘amen comes from the root word אָמַן ‘aman which means: To Support, Confirm, Be Faithful, Uphold, Nourish.
    …aside from love, if that is not the heart of a good marriage, then I don’t know what is.

    So to you sister… a VERY AMEN!
