The Greatest Commandment

One of the most difficult areas of life, for me: watching as people tear through beauty without a second thought…until the beauty is scratched, beaten and scarred, laying limp on the floor, unable to move out of emotional exhaustion and sadness.

This is life as we may know it on earth. It is a scene in the madness of sin run rampant. It is in war and disagreement. It is in self and pride. It is everywhere.

To be honest, I don’t always see it.  My “blinders” are in place when I cannot see it because I know it is there- whether I see it or not. Where is hope?

Hope has to be in our hearts. In our minds and in our souls.

More importantly, LOVE, needs to be revived in our hearts, minds and souls. Unity within the Body of Christ needs to be realized.  I believe it is unified to a point, however, I see far too much disagreement and fighting amongst the Body of Christ.  Why are so many souls, who could be strong advocates for the God’s Great Kingdom, so contrary and demeaning to their own?

One realization I was reminded of came from a study I am currently working though (link to study Click HERE.)

Mark 12:30-31

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

My prayer is for our hearts (as a whole earth of followers of Christ) to be soften and our minds to be open to the Glory of His Kingdom.

Have a blessed Sunday!
