WISE and GROUNDING WORDS

A season is in full swing! I say “A season” because several people have come into my life who have specifically asked for a certain kind of prayer and who have also prayed a very very specific prayer for me (without me asking.) None of these requests are directly related to each other, yet they all go together.

How’s that for a confusing morning riddle?

In between my wifely, motherly, daughterly duties- I have made time to consult God.  Oh, and He is faithful!

A beautiful fellow blogger: Occhiolist31 recently nominated my blog for the Sunshine Award and I want to respond with a proper and thoughtful post (which is in progress.)

I’ve found it to be second nature to post my own findings and lessons, however, when it comes to posting something specific and with guidelines, it takes longer- it needs to be intentionally written and it cannot be rash or shallow- like the homework assignments I used to race through so I could go play!

Today, as I work on the Sunny Post, I’d like to  share a passage from Psalms, which I often read as grounding for my soul:

Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end.

Give me understanding, so that I may keep your law and obey it with all my heart.

Direct me in the path of your commands, for there I find delight.

Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.

Turn my eyes away from worthless things; preserve my life according to your word.

Fulfill your promise to your servant, so that you may be feared.

Take away the disgrace I dread, for your laws are good.

How I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life.

(Psalm‬ ‭119‬:‭33-40‬ NIV)

 Blessings and More Blessings!
❤️Greta
