What could you do – what could He do through you – if you stopped waiting to be ready? –Anna Rendell with (in)courage
I’ve seen it happen over and over again: the signs are all there- people just don’t see what is right in front of their faces. It’s that feeling that you are forgetting to do something, however, you just can’t place it.
Perhaps you have a great vision in your mind but you just don’t know quite how to pull it off… It’s just too big for one person to do.
Verses 6-8: “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; if it is serving and serve; it is teaching, then teach; if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; it is to lead, do it diligently; it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
The beauty in this passage, to me, is these gifts are given to us from God and whatever God gives is to be considered a huge blessing. Within the gifts of God, we are to lean on Him to help us and guide us. It is not our power which brings success: it is the power that God gives us that brings the ultimate completion we refer to as success.
Excuses are my enemy. Procrastination is my alter-ego. The laundry is not finished and the yardwork is calling my name. I need to stop using all the stuff that needs to get done as an excuse not to do what I feel God is calling me to do.
My prayer today is for God to speak to me clearly and tell me what it is that he wants me to do. I pray for my Faith to be made stronger.
The constant battle of wills (good vs. evil) requires the daily renewal of our minds. This renewal is imperative for receiving the Holy Spirit’s guidance.
I thank God for each beautiful and fresh morning! He promises new mercies daily…in the mornings!
Have A Blessed Day!
