CampLitmus (mom’s point of view)

And a new leg of the journey begins.

“Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” Matthew 10:16

Not sure if this is normal, however, I’m physically dizzy as my daughter organizes her zebra striped suitcase for her enougural summer camp adventure.

No internet. No phone. You’d think she’d be the one completely freaking out…but it’s me, the mommy, totally (inwardly, of course) freaking out.

My baby is going away for a week. Will she be strong? Will she be secure in herself? Will she be the kind, sweet, morally brilliant young lady we’ve been raising her to be?

This is the first true litmus test of: her upbringing- to this point, my faith in a God and my daughter, her true nature. So, yeah, it’s scary and exciting!

May God protect her in her first steps away from home.  Lord, bless her soul with Your Holy Spirit to guide her a comfort her beautiful young heart!

Off to camp!
