OFF-SEASON? Nah!

I am so excited to finally find good [EXCEPTIONAL] use for last year’s Christmas tree!

We really aren’t the best at discarding old trees; this old tree is in the fire-pit, patiently waiting to be chopped up and set ablaze…yup, eventually.

  1. Until three days ago, we had a Christmas tree that looked just like yours in our fire pit! In NC, we had a very cold winter. Our old tree lay below our deck, well out of sight and out of mind. Two or three times I heard thumps in the night and couldn’t imagine what was hitting our house. It was that silly tree, kicking up its heels in the wind. Several weeks ago we had relatives that helped us clean up the outside of the house, and the tree was dragged down the hill to the fire pit. The day we set it on fire was fairly damp. We hoped the tree would inflame other gardening debris, but it just flashed itself into oblivion. At least it is no longer haunting us.

  2. Anne! That is AWESOME! I thought you were going to say you had a family of raccoons living in your tree…😉 I think there might be something in ours!
