The key to happiness is through simplicity.
Simplicity can be realized through relaxing your busy mind and body so you are able to focus.
Here is a simple breathing exercise to start for your Friday morning “happiness”:
I encourage you to give this a try– It is simple and takes very little time!
To start: take in a nice slow, deep cleansing breath. Feel the air as it expands your chest and down to your diaphragm. Allow your breath to stay full for a few seconds- or how ever long feels comfortable for you.
Next: slowly and evenly let your breath out: using your abdominal muscles, making sure you’ve expressd all of your breath—all the way down to your diaphragm.
*Repeat two times (or more if you would like.)*
Now, let’s experience a simple lesson strait from the Bible: Philipians 2:1-11. In this passage, Paul is teaching about a couple of the beautiful benefits of salvation through a personal relationship with Jesus.
2. Value others above yourself
3. Have a mindset which is modeled for us by Jesus
4. The nature of a servant
5. Christ’s humility is exhaulted
Relationships can be extremely trying and sometimes completely “unfair” in the areas of give and take. As Christians, our hearts are transformed. This transformation doesn’t mean we will be automatically humble with a perfect attitude, or even love, the way Jesus shows us through his teachings and actions. We have to recieve our blessings of freedom by taking action.
Here’s the simplicity: we are not here to make decisions about whether or not a person deserves our service or love. We do these things out of our love and obedience to and for God.
Take the simple route for a spin! It might be difficult at first, however, like most everything, practice and excercise builds strength and stamina!
Prayer: Father breathe your Holy Spirit into our souls and guide us as we learn to walk in your Word- simply. Bring peace to our souls, Lord. Thank you for sacrificing Your Own Son, so that we can live by his example and not be lost here on this earth! I love You, Dear Lord! In Jesus’ Nane, Amen
Have a beautiful Friday!
