As I tie up the many ends of my to-do list before heading out into the wilderness- (grocery stores, schools, offices, etc…) Gathering and then dropping off the many requests of my loved ones, I am cherishing the quiet. Just for a moment. One very important part
Of my peace is grounded in my meditation on God’s Word. The world out there is LOUD, however, I’ve learned I can tune most of that noise. How? By preparing my heart before the Lord through prayer, study, reflection, prayer again, then application (taking it with me-tucking it into my heart and having it at the top of my mind.)
For almost a week, I have been clinging to one particular passage, which I plan to expand upon when I get the chance. I’ll share it with you before heading out- by the chance it might be helpful for your day, as well.
Please feel free to leave your comments and ideas, as I share mine!
Teach me your decrees, O LORD; I will keep them to the end. Give me understanding and I will obey your instructions; I will put them into practice with all my heart. Make me walk along the path of your commands, for that is where my happiness is found. Give me an eagerness for your laws rather than a love for money! Turn my eyes from worthless things, and give me life through your word. Reassure me of your promise, made to those who fear you. Help me abandon my shameful ways; for your regulations are good. I long to obey your commandments! Renew my life with your goodness. (Psalms 119:33-40 NLT)
Have a Beautiful and Blessed Day,
